Teenagers. Just the mention of the word is enough to strike fear into the hearts of the bravest of parents. After the terrible twos, the teenage years may be the most feared years in all of parenting. Teenagers seem to have their own culture. They have their own language, their own way of dressing, and their own social rules. In addition to that, there is an increased potential for teenagers to make large, drastic mistakes. The mistakes that two or ten year olds make usually do not have long-lasting consequences. The mistakes or errors in judgment that teenagers can make often have repercussions that last for months or years.
